FAQ
How much does counselling cost?
My rate for 50 minute sessions is $160. This is in line with the guidelines set by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). The cost for virtual, phone and in person sessions is the same.
Where do we meet for sessions?
I offer in person sessions at East Vancouver Counselling, located at 1651 Commercial Drive. Street parking, underground parking and an elevator are available. Virtual sessions are held online through the Jane platform.
Am I covered by insurance?
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), my services are covered under many extended health plans. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage. I will provide a receipt after our sessions which can be submitted for reimbursement.
What populations do you work with?
I have many years of experience supporting individuals from all walks of life, and consider myself as ally. I welcome all clients, including those who identify as neurodiverse, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC. I also acknowledge that as a cisgender causcasian woman, my lived experiences may be different than yours. If finding a counsellor who shares your lived experience is important to you, I am happy to provide referral options. I am also happy to chat about it further in a consultation-whatever works for you!
When are you available?
I currently offer in person sessions on Tuesday mornings and afternoons at East Vancouver Counselling. I am also available for sessions virtually or over the phone on Tuesdays, and throughout the week.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who cannot afford the full fee. I strive to make counselling accessible to everyone as best I can. Please let me know if you require sliding scale at this time.
